This weekend we had three great nights, with amazing performances by Toni Lynn Washington, Young Neal and the Vipers, and The Fat City Band. Before I recap, let me first thank everyone who came out for one, two or all three shows this weekend. We can’t thank you enough for supporting us and can only hope that you enjoyed the performances. If the dance floor is any indication, we’re sure most of you had a great time!
Here’s a review by the Patriot Ledger. TLW at the C Note
This woman is simply amazing! Every song is a good story read in a sultry, soulful tone. From “No Good Man” to “Money Too”, Toni Lynn puts her heart and soul into every word. There’s a reason why she’s considered Boston’s Queen of Blues. Thanks to Toni Lynn and her band for entertaining us on our first night. We can’t wait to see you guys again in October.
It’s never easy following a Toni Lynn Washington performance, but Young Neal and the Vipers kept the dance floor packed all night. Young Neal’s power riffs blew the crowd away and kept us wanting more. He’s an unbelievably talented guitarist that deserves more accolades. So here it is, you guys rock! Thanks for putting on a great show.
Because of an earlier power loss we were forced to close earlier than our normal hours for the safety of our patrons. When the band was notified about the change in hours, they cut their break short and jumped back on stage for all of their fans. This band just kept everyone on the dance floor and blew the doors off of the building. Thanks to The Fat City Band for putting on an amazing show to close out our weekend.
Congratulations on the opening of your club. My sister-in-law to be, Barbara has kept me up to date on the progress and how hard everyone is working. She’s a gem and an incredible hard and dedicated worker, but you know that already !
Sincerely,
Jeanine
